The invention relates to an ultrasonic machining method for a sucker rod and an application thereof. The ultrasonic machining method is used for ultrasonically machining a rod body of the sucker rod and/or a screw thread part, that is the rod body rotating along a main shaft and/or the surface of the screw thread part is ultrasonically machined by using an ultrasonic machining cutter. The surface roughness of the sucker rod made by using the ultrasonic machining method is greatly reduced, the tensile performance, the bending resistance performance and the anti-fatigue performance of the sucker rod are greatly enhanced, the wear resistance and the corrosion resistance of the sucker rod are efficiently improved and the service life of the sucker rod is greatly prolonged. Meanwhile as the surface roughness quality of the sucker rod is greatly improved, the surface is smooth, the wearing of the sucker rod and an oil pipe can be alleviated, the oil pumping efficiency is enhanced, the repair cycle and the life of an oil well pipe and the rod are prolonged, the oil-well operation workload caused by the fault of the sucker oil is reduced, thus the oil extraction cost is reduced, the resource is saved and the economic benefit is improved.
