A Bioética no Contexto do Idoso com HIV/AIDS em exercício da sexualidade

2013
Sexual practice among elderly living with HIV/AIDS requires new directions, considering the social changes that have occurred in recent decades. Issues related to human behavior after turning 60 years of age need to be discussed according to bioethics, taking into account gender aspects and the phenomenon of elderly’s feminization. The considerations to be mentioned show that there are still difficulties to overcome social obstacles in the practice of elderly’s sexuality, aggravated when they live with HIV/AIDS. Social aspects related to positions defined by gender and age feminization require attention from bioethics in view of changing the vision we have about elderly’s sexuality.
