2001
The early Early Permian smaller foraminiferal fauna first discovered and described in this paper was collected at Hucun of Ninghua County, Fujian Province. This foraminiferal fauna contains 20 species referred to 9 genera as listed below: Glomospira ovalis Malakhlova, G. sinensis Ho, G. gordialis (Jones et Parker), G. gordialis irregularis Rauser, G. tenuifistula Ho, Tolypammina mikhailova (Reitlinger), T. fortis Reitlinger, Palaeotexlularia simplex Morozova, P. cf. gibbosaeformis (Reitlinger), Tetrataxis pagodoformis Lee, Globivalvulina kantharensis Reichel, G. graeca Reichel, G. granulosa Reitlinger, G. bulloides (Brady), Endothyra rzhevica Reitlinger, Robuloides gibbus Reichel, R. accutus Reichel, Nodosaria mirabilis Lipina, N. mirabilis caucsica K.M. Maclay, Pachyphloia sp., and belongs to the Globivalvulina Nodosaria Assemblage. The discovery of the above mentioned foraminiferal fauna from the basal Chihsia Formation in Fujian provides a fresh basis for division of Carboniferous-Permian rocks.
