High-speed Algorithm for Realization of Short-wave Ray Tracing in Ionosphere

Under the condition that the geomagnetism and collision are neglected,and in accordance with the trajectory equation based on Fermat principle,the short-wave ray tracing in the ionosphere is realized by high-speed algorithm in combination of line geometry approximation with step-changing technique.Asian-Oceanian model and quasi-parabola model with added disturbance effect is introduced to describe electron density profile,and verify the veracity and efficiency of the high-speed algorithm.The simulation results indicate that the high-speed algorithm is suitable for all sorts of complicated electron density profile and could more quickly and precisely calculate the propagation tracks of the rays.
