Maximum Power Point Tracking based on extremum-seeking control technique and its simulation

2016
(MPPT) maximum power point tracking controller is used such that the output power yielded by a photovoltaic (PV) system will be boosted to the particular maximum level. Although, due to sudden change in the irradiance, traditional MPPT controller method undertaken lag behind from inadequate robustness against sudden variation due to change in intensity of the solar radiation, poor transient response and output power loss as a consequence since it require more time for tracking procedure. Modified architecture of MPPT for PV generation is preferred. This paper is more focused on analyzing extremum-seeking control technique used in the circuit of maximum power point tracking as for PV system. The abovementioned technique involved in the MPPT circuit is able to track the maximum power point also when sudden changes in irradiance occur. Here simulations is used to prove the robustness as well as system stability of ESC approach.
