Study on Supercritical Carbon Dioxide Foaming PPS

In this paper,PPS foam was prepared by intermittent batch forming of supercritical carbon dioxide.Crystallization property,dynamic mechanical property and the morphology of the PPS foam were studied.Pressure-induced crystallization occurred when PPS was soaked in CO2.The PPS soaked in CO2 for 2 h at 80 ℃ and a pressure of 20 MPa could foam while that soaked for 4 h and 8 h could not foam because of the high degree of crystallinity.This method laid theoretical foundation for the further study of PPS foam.
