Factores de riesgo asociados a Mycobacterium avium subespecie paratuberculosis en rebaños ovinos de Nayarit, México

2017
Seroprevalence of ovine paratuberculosis (ptb) and risk factors in herds of Nayarit, Mexico were determined by a cross sectional study. It was analyzed 368 serum and stool samples from 38 different herds. The identification of antibodies Mycobacterium avium subespecie paratuberculosis (Map) was by indirect ELISA technique. Map for detecting chain reaction of the nested polymerase (nPCR) primers that detect a specific segment (IS900) for Map used. Information on potential risk factors was obtained through a questionnaire applied to the owners of each flock. Herd seroprevalence was 28.94% with the ELISA test. Only one seropositive animal to ELISA test was positive to the nPCR. It was identified as risk factors "coexistence with goats”, “cohabitation with pigs", "offspring born with defects", "udders with excrement", "females with diarrhea" and "females who lose weight and die." With these variables correlations to indirectly decrease the seroprevalence were observed. Logistic regression analysis was performed and correctly classified 81.6% of the cases R2 = 0.45, P?0.03. The aim of this study was to determine the seroprevalence of ovine ptb, compare the results of the ELISA test and nPCR, and determine the risk factors associated with ptb.
