Electron tunneling through a coupled system of electron and phonon

Abstract We study the electron tunneling through a single level quantum dot in the presence of electron–phonon interaction. By using the Green’s function and canonical transformation methods, we calculated exactly the current. It is found that the current vs dot level exhibits satellite peaks even without occurring of phonon-assisted tunneling processes, and properties of the current are affected heavily by the strength of electron–phonon interaction and phonon temperature.
