An Improved Image Retrieval Method Using Curvature Scale Space

As the rapid development of storage technology and Internet technology, image retrieval has become the focus research in the field of computer. In this paper, we use the curvature scale space (CSS) to achieve an image retrieval system. In our image retrieval process, first getting the outline of the shoes according to the image, then using CSS method to describe the image contours, At last, we propose an improved matching algorithm for image matching. This is tested on a database of 1000 different types of shoes and the results show the method can solve the mirror image matching and this image retrieval fully improve the speed and accuracy.
