Study on Influence of Lubricating Oil Parameters on Lubrication Characteristics of Ship Stern Bearing

2019
In order to reduce the friction and wear of low speed and heavy load sliding bearing and the high temperature phenomenon of stern bearing during sailing, a mathematical model of fluid lubrication between stern shaft and stern bearing was established. Using the rotor bearing system analysis software DLAP (dynamic lubrication analysis program), to solve the Reynolds equation and sticky temperature equation. The influence of oil inlet temperature and inlet pressure on maximum oil film pressure, minimum oil film thickness, temperature rise, power consumption and flow rate between stern shaft and stern bearing are obtained. The results show that the inlet pressure has a great influence on the maximum oil film pressure, minimum film thickness and flow rate. The inlet pressure can be controlled appropriately, which provides a basis for further analysis of lubrication characteristics of stern bearing under different working conditions.
