Analysis of the influence of power electronic transformers on the reliability of different grid structures

Since Power Electronic Transformer (PET) can connect to different voltage levels, effectively reduce line switching time and improve system reliability, the medium-voltage distribution network has broad prospects for development. However, for different types of grid structures, the improvement of system reliability by introducing PET is different, which needs to be considered in depth in conjunction with the construction economy. Therefore, combined with the actual construction of the project, the design and transitional construction of different grid structures are introduced. And the application scenarios of different grid structures were compared and analyzed. Afterwards, considering the influence of the line transfer time on the system reliability, the establishment was based on the minimum cut set method. Finally, combined with the system data of an industrial park, the improving effect of PET on the reliability of different grid structures was calculated and analyzed. The results showed that the simpler the wiring of the system, the more obvious the improvement effect of PET.
