Gymnasieungdomars anknytningsmönster och känsla av sammanhang i relation till betyg

2018
To investigate possible relationships between attachment style, sense of coherence (SOC) and school results for adolescents, a study of four social science classes in grade 2 was conducted at a secondary school in southern Sweden, a total of 82 respondents. Attachment style was investigated using the Swedish version of the ASQ form, SOC-29 was used to determine the level of sense of coherence and grade results in mathematics, English and Swedish were collected to measure school performance. The survey sample result of attachment styles appears to be consistent with previous studies and there is no difference between the sexes. There is no significant relationship between attachment style and grade results in this study and no previous studies have been found to compare. The SOC results in the survey sample appear to be low in comparison with previous studies. The fact that there is a significant difference in SOC results between the sexes in the sample is, on the other hand, consistent with previous surveys in that men report somewhat higher results compared women. The SOC results in this study are not significantly correlated with the grade results, as other studies have shown. Between secure and insecure attachment and SOC results, there is significant correlation where securely attached adolescents have a higher SOC compared to the insecurely attached. This result is consistent with previous surveys.
