2012
Objective To test the adaptability of simple occupational stress inventory(SOSI)(Chinese Version)in measuring the stress of project managers. Methods 237 project managers were sampled.Reliability and validity of SOSI(Chinese Version)were analyzed.Characteristics of occupational stress of project managers measured by SOSI were probed into. Results 9 items of SOSI(Chinese Version)showed significant identification in measuring the response tendencies of project managers. Two common factors were extracted from SOSI which could explain 55.3% of the total variance. The cronbach's α coefficient of SOSI internal reliability and r correlation coefficient of SOSI split-half reliability were0.70.SOSI time stress factor scores of project managers were significantly higher than their SOSI anxiety factor scores(P0.01).The statistical difference between tendency SOSI time stress factor scores and SOSI anxiety factor scores were also manifested in project managers' demographic characteristics including project management focuses(supervision and construction),project management working years and education levels. Conclusions Reliability and validity of SOSI(Chinese Version)meet the standards of psychological statistics.SOSI has a good adaptability in measuring the stress of project managers.
