Simulation des effets basses fréquences des chocs d'origine pyrotechnique par excitateur électrodynamique : Electronique en environnements extrêmes

1998
.During the different flight phases of space launchers, pyrotechnic systems (pyrotechnic gates, explosive blots, detonating cords,...) produce very high intensity shock levels which may damage some devices or equipments. Should you wish to contact the authors of the articles, REE will be pleased to mail your letters to them. On written request only, we may also give you their professional references, when so allowed by them. The Environmental Test Centre of SNPE Propulsion et Preparation du Futur uses a high power electrodynamic shaker. Its specific design allows very high shock levels. With a suitable control system, this device can simulate low frequencies effects (from some Hertz to 5000 Hertz) of pyrotechnic shocks by a direct control of the Shock Response Spectrum (SRS). In this paper, we describe the shaker design, its maximum performances, the logic and the different steps of a qualification test in SRS and the advantages/restrictions of the method. We also describe a test example and especially the configuration of the shaker, the instrumentation, the control specifications and the results.
