Psychotherapy Integration and Integrative Psychotherapies

This chapter presents an overview of the theoretical and conceptual field of psychotherapy integration, and of the integrative models of psychotherapy that are derived from that intellectual framework. The history, important developments, and central contemporary approaches to psychotherapy integration are reviewed, as well as its empirical status. A case example that illustrates the use of an integrative model in a clinical setting also is included.
