Orientation Regulation of 2D Perovskite Solar Cells with Improving Efficiency

2020
Vertical orientation growth of the two-dimensional (2D) perovskite is critical for the efficient charge transport. The approach of adding thiocyanate additive into the precursor solution was established to fabricate 2D perovskite film with preferred orientation. The selection of the spacer cation was found to be impact greatly on the morphology of the perovskite film. The energy loss at the interface can be decreased by choosing suitable hole and electron transport material with improved match in energy level alignment. As a result, the power conversion efficiency of the 2D perovskite solar cell was elevated to over 16%.
