Study on changes of IL-6/GP130 signal transduction pathway induced by hypoxia in PC12 cells

2009
Objective To explore the effect of hypoxia on the expressions of interleukin-6 and GP130 in PC12 cells. Methods The PC12 cells were treated with hypoxia and the mRNA and protein expressions of IL-6 and GP130 were detected by RT-PCR,Western Blot and RIA.Results The mRNA and protein expressions of IL-6 and GP130 in PC12 cell were obviously increased at 2h and reached the highest level at 6h,decreased at 12h under hypoxia condition, but they were still higher than those of the control group. Conclusion The results suggest that IL-6 and GP130 lead to important modulation in the brain damage after hypoxia injury.
