Computer visualization of moderation analysis:joint moderation of physical activity and diet-health knowledge in the demand of health care among disabled older adults

2021
Health care is a critical area in which computer statistical analysis is extensively employed. The rapidly growing number of disabled older adults resulted in an increasing demand on elderly health care. It is of special importance for older adults to have physical activity and good diet-health knowledge to maintain physical health and decrease demand on health care service. In this regard, health researchers and professionals need to acquire swift and objective assessments of the joint moderation role of physical activity and diet-health knowledge. It is shown that with the help of computer analysis of health data, it is possible to make computer visual presentations of moderation analysis that characterize various aspects of interactions. The methodology of moderation analysis is based on derivative and marginal mathematical computation approaches, which involve assessing moderation effects in different scenarios through multivariate hierarchical regression analysis. Calculations were implemented in the environment STATA/MP 15.0 (Stata Corp, USA) package. In this paper, a sample of 189 non-institutionalized retired older adults aged 50+ was utilized for moderation analysis. In this study, computer visualization of moderation analysis successfully identified joint moderation effect of physical activity and diet-health knowledge on elderly health care.
