Candidate Standards and Operation Concept of Extensible Modeling and Simulation Framework

The domain of military modeling and simulation is faced with many problems,and meanwhile the technologies of Web have made unprecedented achievements,so how to apply Web-based technologies to MS domain is the problem to be solved by the extensible modeling and simulation framework.Firstly the background of the framework is introduced,then the definition of the framework is described.Then several candidate standards to support the construction of the framework are analyzed,including metal modeling and model driven architecture,extensible 3D graphics,semantics Web,overlay multicast,simulation reference markup language,basic object model,and profile standard.Furthermore these standards are researched on the way of supporting the construction of the framework,then the concept of operations to describe how to use the framework is discussed.Finally the conclusion is briefly drawn and problems in the research of this domain are summarized.
