Medium Dependency of Acoustic Energy Transfer System

2021
Acoustic Energy Transfer (AET) system is a moderately most recent form of non-contact transfer of energy that utilizes sound waves as an intermediate energy carrier to transfer energy wirelessly. The AET propagates in different mediums such as gaseous, fluid, or a solid nature such as metal, air, water, and even able to work through living tissues. The performance of AET can be studied through different mediums like air, water, and aluminum specifically for low-power biomedical applications. The simulation work is carried out and a detailed analysis of the obtained results is done. This paper presents how acoustic energy transmission is done through air and water medium as the medium of transmission plays a vital role. According to the simulation results, the acoustic energy transfer system is feasible through air and water respectively for low power industrial applications.
