O ENSINO A DISTÂNCIA E A PROTEÇÃO DE DADOS PESSOAIS: EFEITOS NA DINÂMICA FORMATIVA EM CONTEXTO DE ENSINO SUPERIOR

This article presents the challenges that arise in the relationship between Distance Education (DE) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). It is a relevant reflection in the current pandemic context, resulting from COVID-19, in which the use of non-presential teaching has become massified. DE can use multiple tools, with emphasis on digital technologies. Such technologies facilitate the collection of personal data. This collection, conservation and use of data is limited, as it may compromise the privacy of those involved. But it can be equally fundamental to increase training effectiveness, if understood as the ability to provide educational resources aligned with the learning process of each student. The articles accessible at EBSCO, SCOPUS and Google Scholar, which explore the relationship between distance education and GDPR in higher education, published from 2016 until now. The analysis made it possible to systematize the effects resulting from GDPR on educative dynamics. The minimization of the collection of personal data, the need for informed consent, are limitations imposed by the GDPR, with effects on data mining and Learning Analytics, as well as the added problems in the formal assessment of learning in EaD format.
