Two alkaloids from Chinese bittersweet Celastrus angulatus

1999
Abstract Two alkaloids, named Chinese bittersweet alkaloid I and II, were isolated from the seeds of Chinese bittersweet ( Celastrus angulatus M. ). Their structures were identified as (−)-2α-(2′-pyrrolyl)-4α-methoxycarbonyl-1,3-oxazacyclohexane and 2α-(2′-pyrroly1)-4α-methoxycarbonyl-5β-[(2″-methyl)-hepty1]-1,3-oxazacyclohexane, respectively, by spectroscopic methods.
