Catalytic activity of a terminal carboxyl group and the chain length of polymeric carrier in ester aminolysis

1998
The kinetics of aminolysis of n-nitrophenyl acetate in the presence of soluble polymeric catalysts based on PEGs containing terminal carboxyl groups was studied. The relationship between the catalytic activity of the terminal group and the chain length of polymeric carrier was established, and the contribution of carrier to an additional acceleration of the reaction associated with autosolvation of the prereaction complex was determined.
