Rozwój i rola polskiego przemysłu spożywczego w warunkach akcesji do Unii Europejskiej

The aim of this article is to present the changes in the Polish food industry after the Polish accession to the European Union and show position of Polish food to other EU countries. Also specified the height of the level of support for this sector of the economy from the Common Agricultural Policy. Since its entry into the EU structures Polish food industry began to operate in the Single European Market, which significantly contributed to its development. In order to determine the role of this department economy analyzed its structure, the volume of production and employment. It also presents the share of the food industry in the national economy. Then, reference Polish food industry to the European Union and on the basis of the results specified place of the food industry in the EU food industry. Analyses were carried out on the basis of Eurostat data and data from Statistical Yearbooks of Industry and the Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARMA).
