Study on Synthesis Technology of 3-(4-Biphenylycarbonyl)propionic acid

To study the synthesis technology of 3-(4-biphenylycarbonyl)propionic acid.The result showed that the suitable reaction solvent was 1,2-dichloroethane and the suitable pH value was under 3.The suitable conditions for the recrystallization were that the solvent was composed of 95% ethanol and water at aproportion of 3∶2,the ratio of solvent volume to crude product mass was 40∶1(mL∶g),the recovery rate was 97.5%.
