Lifting wavelet based fast signal feature extraction method for pipeline leakage detection and pre-warning system

A lifting wavelet based fast signal feature extraction method,which is used in pipeline leakage detection and pre-warning system is studied.This pre-warning system based on the principle of Mach-Zehnder optical fiber interferometer,an optical cable is laid along the pipeline in the same ditch.Leakage and other abnormal events along the pipeline can be detected by the system in real-time.By the lifting wavelet based fast signal feature extraction method,the vibration signals led by abnormal events identified and the feature can be extracted.The method can not only detect signals characteristics effectively but also save calculation time compared to similar methods based on traditional wavelets,which are proved by the signals obtained in situ.
