Strategic Thinking on the Development of China's Rare Earth Industry

Rare earth(RE) is an important strategic resource for competition in the world.RE functional materials are the catalysts of strategic and emerging industries,which have a bright application prospect.However,RE industrial added value depends on whether mastering core technologies.After analyzing the problems of China's RE industry,this paper proposes to systematically plan China's RE industry,aim at high-end value chain,and speed up the construction of technology innovation system in order to accelerate the development of China's RE industry.
