Hydrothermal synthesis, photoluminescence and photocatalytic properties of two silver(I) complexes
2017
Abstract Two new dinuclear silver(I) coordination complexes [Ag(Hntph)(tpyz) 2/2 ] n 1 and [Ag 2 (dtrz) 2 (Hntph) 2 ] 2 (H 2 ntph=2-nitroterephthalic acid, tpyz=2,3,5-trimethylpyrazine, dtrz=3,5-dimethyl-4 H -1,2,4-triazol-4-amine) have been obtained by hydrothermal reactions of Ag(I) salts with H 2 ntph and various N-donor ligands. Complex 1 exhibits a 2D layer structure constructed by the binuclear Ag 2 (Hntph) 2 units and tpyz ligands. Complex 2 also shows a different binuclear unit Ag 2 (dtrz) 2 , which was assembled via hydrogen bonds interactions to a 3D supramolecular architecture. The photocatalytic experiments showed that complex 2 is an excellent visible light candidate for degradation of RhB, and the degradation ratio of RhB reached 91.4% after 7 h under the light of 90 W white LED lamp. Moreover, the photoluminescent properties and the optical band gaps of 1 – 2 have also been investigated.
