Povezanost upravljanja rizicima i uspješnosti poslovanja srednjih i velikih poduzeća u Republici Hrvatskoj

In today's day and age there is almost no activity where there's no risk present. Enterprises are exposed to various risks on a daily basis that can lead to large losses to the company if they are not recognized on time. In order to prevent negative consequences, the enterprise must know to recognize the risks, investigate the causes of the risk and manage them so that these consequences escalate to the minimum. This paper describes the terminology related to business risks and the overall integrated risk management process based on the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM). The main objective of this paper was to investigate the correlation between risk management and business performance in medium and large companies in the Republic of Croatia. Other goals were to explore whether risk management in companies, how to manage risks, apply ERM's integrated risk management system, and whether they are well-informed about risk measurement and risk mitigation techniques. The empirical part of the research was conducted by the method of questionnaire survey and the method of descriptive and inferential statistics.
