DEVELOPMENT OF AN INTEGRATED SHIFT CONTROL SYSTEM FORAUTOMATIC MANUAL TRANSMISSIONS (AMT)

2006
The importance of the gear shift quality of automated manual transmissions has increased significantly over the past few years. Shift quality control strategies aim to improve the acceleration performance, reduce shift time. In addition, reduce the shift shock and minimize the undesired oscillations of driving output torque of AMT vehicle. In this study, a shift control system for improving the shift quality of AMT is developed. An integrated Hardware-in-loop simulation model is developed. In order to study the performance of the shift integrated control system performance, an experimental work is performed using dSPACE1104 controller board as a control test platform. The experimental results show the good performance of the shift control system.
