Semiclassical analysis of the interbranch line coupling in the infrared band shapes of linear molecules

The spectral evidences for interbranch line coupling have been analyzed using a semiclassical approach. Interbranch line coupling causes the smooth branch broadening effect and determines the efficiency of smooth band shape transformation.
