Polarization in π - p-->π 0 n and Asymptotic Theorems

The surprising results of the recent 40-GeV/c Serpukhov measurement of the polarization in ..pi../sup -/p..--> pi../sup 0/n are shown to support the conjecture that hadronic amplitudes may grow asymptotically as fast as they are permitted to by general principles.
