Breeding records from the north-east Andean foothills of Ecuador

. 2004, Greeney & Nunnery 2006), we are slowlyexpanding our knowledge of the breeding patterns of Ecuador’s mainland avifauna.One area which seems particularly understudied ornithologically, especially withrespect to natural histories, is the foothills of the east Andean slope. A few recentcontributions have added to our knowledge for certain species (Gelis
