Effects of Monte Carlo parameters on the simulated magnetic properties of Stoner-Wohlfarth particles
2006
Hysteresis loops for two-dimensional and three-dimensional systems of Stoner-Wohlfarth particles have been simulated by the Monte Carlo method as a function of the temperature and the magnitude of the angular aperture used to update the magnetization direction. A comparison of the reduced coercivity obtained from these hysteresis loops with those obtained from Neel’s relaxation model have allowed a consistent set of temperature dependent update angles to be determined for a given number of Monte Carlo steps.
