Numerical Simulation on Narrowing Linewidth of a Laser Diode With Dual-Loop Optical Feedback

A numerical model is developed to investigate effects of the dual-loop optical feedback on reduction of the linewidth of a laser diode. By optimizing parameters, the linewidth of the laser can be reduced from 10 MHz to 25 kHz, and the SMSR exceeds 30 dB.
