High resolution spectroscopic study ofBeΛ10
2016
This new JLab measurement demonstrates the capability of the facility to determine the ground state binding energy of $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}$ hypernuclei. Comparison of the measured ${}_{\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}}^{10}$Be result with that of its mirror hypernucleus is consistent with the small charge-symmetry breaking for $p$-shell $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}$ hypernuclei as exhibited in the $A=8$ systems. The results also suggest a 0.54 MeV shift for reported binding energies of $\mathrm{\ensuremath{\Lambda}}$ hypernuclei extracted from (${\ensuremath{\pi}}^{+}$,${K}^{+}$) experiments.
