EFFECTS OF HIGHWAY RUNOFF ON RECEIVING WATERS. VOLUME II: RESEARCH REPORT

1985
Results of comprehensve field monitoring programs at three sites are reported in this volume, the 2nd of 5. One stream site (WI Hwy 15/Sugar Creek) and one lake site (I-94/Lower Nemahbin Lake) were located in Southeastern Wisconsin. The third site (I-85/Sevenmile Creek) was located in the Piedmont region of North Carolina. Monitoring at each site was conducted for a year. The scope of these programs included meteorological and hydrological monitoring, runoff and receiving water quality sampling during both dry and wet weather, and sediment, benthic macroinvertibrate and macrophyte sampling. The results of extensive bioassay testing are also included in this volume. Runoff samples from both urban and rural highways were used with a variety of test organisms.
