Effect of the structure of a silicon-containing nitrile on the course of its catalytic reduction
1965
1.
The hydrogenation of silicon-containing nitriles with the CN group in various positions relative to the silicon atom over skeletal catalysts was studied.
2.
By this method (ω-aminoalkyl)silanes of various structure can be prepared in yields of up to 90%.
3.
No (2-aminoalkyl)dialkoxysilanes and silacyclopentane-1-ethylamines were obtained by the catalytic reduction of the corresponding α-cyano silanes because of the occurrence of reaction with cleavage of the Si-C bond.
