STUDY ON THE VOLATILIZATION BEHAVIOR OF SE UNDER OXYGEN-COMBUSTION ATMOSPHERE

2006
The FTIR-TGA experiments on SeO2 and the mixture of it and CaO were carried out in air and oxygen-combustion atmospheres. By using TG/DTG/DSC and XRD analyzer, the influence of heating rate, atmospheres and minerals on the volatilization behavior of Selenium during combustion were investigated. The results indicated that the volatilization ratio and emission of Selenium differed under various atmospheres. Under oxygen-combustion atmosphere, the emission of SeO2 were lower than that under air atmosphere. Under the same atmosphere, the fixation effect of Selenium using CaO was more obvious when Ca: Se grew. The heating rate imposed little on the volatilization of Selenium, only promoting or deferring it. Oxygen-combustion helped to restrain the volatilization of Selenium.
