Road Infrastructure Assessment Model - Incorporation of Passing-lane Sections

1999
The Road infrastructure assessment model (RIAM) is a strategic model that predicts economic benefits in upgrading road segments of major non-urban roads in Australia. This paper outlines development of a passing-lane model for RIAM, using the TRARR simulation package to determine benefits for various combinations of terrain, traffic volume, and vehicle mix.
