Effect of Surfactin on Eimeria tenella in vitro

[Objective] The effect of surfactin on Eimeria tenella in vitro was researched in the experiment.[Methods] By quantitative culture,MTT assay and lactate dehydrogenase(LDH) assessment,the influence of surfactin on proliferation speed and the survival rate of Eimeria tenella was tested.[Results] At low concentration of 5 mg/ml,the surfactin can inhibit Eimeria tenella proliferation and even directly destroy Eimeria tenella.[Conclusion] The surfactin was effective on destroying Eimeria tenella.It was possible to use it as an ideal reagent for the prevention of Eimeria tenella.
