Walking Mechanisms - A State of the Art Survey and New Developments Opportunities

Walking Mechanisms are a vast field of study. Over the decades several authors studied and developed such structures. In this work, the development opportunities in the field of walking mechanisms are analyzed and discussed. In order to do so, a state of the art review was conducted comprising bibliographic research and patent survey. All the concepts found in the survey were analyzed according to mechanism theory and then a technology map was created to comprehend and derive the opportunities for innovation.
