Complete mitochondrial genome of clearhead icefish Protosalanx hyalocranius (Salmoniformes: Salangidae)

AbstractIn this study, we sequenced and determined the complete mitochondrial genome of clearhead icefish (Protosalanx hyalocranius). The circular mitochondrial genome (16,693 bp) contained 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes, 2 ribosomal RNA genes, and 1 control region. All genes were encoded on the heavy strand with the exception of ND6 and eight tRNA genes.
