Discussion on Causes and Control Stratage of Air Contamination in Urumqi

The yearly dynamic change of main pollution factors such as SO2,NO2 and PM10 content in the city of Urumqi from 1999 to 2009 as well as the monthly change in 2005～2007 were analyzed.It was considered that the natural conditions,layout of urban functions,energy structure,distribution of heat supply network,moving source and the capacity of monitoring and treatment all contributed to the air pollution in Urumqi.Meanwhile,countermeasures to improve the air condition in this city including improving ecological environment,optimizing industrial layout,enhancing capacity of pollution monitoring and treatment,adjusting energy structure,promoting energy conservation,controlling automobiles' exhaust and heightening public environmental awareness were put forward.
