Solid-phase enzyme-linked assay for the screening of glycosidase activities and inhibitors

A solid-phase assay designed for the detection of glycosidase activity has been developed which detects 5 × 10–4 unit of α and β-galactosidases in 50 μL medium. The assay is highly stereo-specific. This assay is suitable for turbid or coloured fluids containing glycosidases and allows rapid and reliable Ki determination of glycosidase inhibitors. © Rapid Science Ltd. 1998
