Association between oxygen free radical and fetal growth restriction

To study the association between oxygen free radical and fetal growth restriction. Maternay of blood was assayed in 70 pregnant women with fetal growth restriction(FGR group) and 70 normal pregnant women (control group). The SOD was tested by autooxidation system of pyrogallol. The GSH-Px was used by DTNB direct method. Improvement of the thiobarbituric acid fluorescence analysis of serum lipoperoxides(LPO). SOD and GSH-Px of FGR group was lower than that in control group. LPO of FGR group was higher than that in control group. [Conclusion] Oxygen free radical is positively related with fetal grouth restriction.
