Asymptotic arrangement of events in a calendar queue
1996
Using a few simplifying assumptions about the calendar queue, we find that the arrangement of events in the queue eventually depends nicely on the probability density for the jump-size for an event. These results compare favorably with experimental data for calendar queues using a few of the most common probability densities for jump-size.
