The invention relates to a valve for shutting off or regulating a medium - having a housing; - with a shut-off element mounted in the housing, which is rotatably mounted about a transverse to the flow direction of the medium pivotal axis; - with a drive shaft which is mounted in the housing and is in drive connection with a hub of the shut-off body; - the connection between drive shaft and hub is a plug connection with polygonal profile; - the polygonal profile has rounded corner portions; - the hub has an opening for receiving the drive shaft in the form of a polygonal blind hole; - the plug-in connection with polygonal profile is the only means for transmitting torque from the drive shaft to the hub; - between the hub and the housing, a sleeve is provided, which shields the drive shaft against the medium.
