A Review of the Large Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons

Abstract A review of recent advances in research of the large polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (LPAHs) is presented. For this review, LPAHs are those of eight or more rings. Specific emphasis will be placed on synthetic strategies, analysis, spectrometric behavior, some novel uses, and the importance of LPAHs in astrophysics.
