How did you do that?! Special Jobs created to manipulate Aleph data

2009
Jeannie Dixon, Systems Applications Coordinator, College Center for Library Automation (CCLA); Christine Moulen, Library Systems Manager, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT); Gwyneth Duncan, Systems Librarian, Duke University This session will provide a discussion of special jobs we have created to manipulate Aleph data. Some examples include monitoring changes in item processing status to detect materials ready for exporting new holdings to OCLC and tracking how long it takes materials to go through technical processing. A discussion of the steps involved and how to approach the challenge creatively will be part of the presentation.
